Twitter introduces new feature for Blue subscribers to write longer tweets

Twitter introduces new feature for Blue subscribers to write longer tweets : Monetization tools for creators are also on the way.

Twitter has announced a new feature that allows its Blue subscribers to write tweets with up to 10,000 characters. This new feature will enable users to post longer content without having to create a thread.

User Type Character Limit
Regular 280
Blue 10,000

Previously, in February, Twitter had introduced a feature that allowed users to write tweets with up to 4,000 characters. However, this was only available to a select group of users.

Now, with the new 10,000 character limit, Blue subscribers can also use bold and italic text in their posts, making their content more engaging and visually appealing.

According to Twitter's CEO, Elon Musk, the platform is also preparing to make monetization tools available for creators. This means that creators will be able to apply for monetization and offer subscriptions via Twitter. The remaining revenue from subscriptions, after deducting fees from Apple and Google, will be distributed to the creators within the next 12 months.

To participate in Twitter's this program, creators have to pay $2.99, $4.99, or $9.99 monthly. However, users must be at least 18 years old, have at least 10,000 active users on their Twitter handle, and must have tweeted at least 25 times in the last 30 days.

Subscription Tier Monthly Fee
Tier 1 $2.99
Tier 2 $4.99
Tier 3 $9.99

While this monetization feature is currently only available to users in the United States, Musk has announced that it will soon be available in other countries as well.

Twitter has made significant efforts to restart this feature, which was made public in 2021. This monetization feature allows users to earn income through long videos or long text. However, Twitter does not have a feature to save long texts, and the "Twitter Notes" feature, which was introduced last month, was discontinued after it failed to make an impact.

In conclusion,

Twitter's Blue subscribers now have the ability to post longer tweets with up to 10,000 characters, allowing them to share more detailed and in-depth content. This new feature, combined with the upcoming monetization tools for creators, will undoubtedly attract more users to the platform and enable them to earn income through their content.
