National Planning Commission's website hacked on New Year's Day

The official website of the National Planning Commission has been hacked on the day of the Nepali New Year 2080. The hacked site redirects users to an online gambling platform. 

According to cyber security expert Vijay Limbu, the commission's website was hacked and redirected to another website.


The redirected website promotes an online casino game called "Slot 777". Ramesh Prasad Pokharel, Deputy Director and Information Officer of the National Information Technology Center, said that they received information about the site being hacked and immediately took it down. He also mentioned that further information will be collected once the site is fully investigated.
