SEE [Secondary Education Examination] results 2079-80 in the old grading system

The National Examination Board has decided to publish the results of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) according to the old grading system. The Chairman of the Board, Mahashram Sharma, provided information stating that the results will be made public based on the old grading system as per the curriculum taught in the past.

As the final academic session was conducted based on the old curriculum, it was decided to publish the results according to the old grading system as well. "The decision was made only to fulfill the necessary legal procedures," said Mahashram Sharma. The government has revised the Letter Grading Directive, 2078, and introduced a provision to include only those who score 35 marks in theory and 40 marks in practical exams in the grading system.

According to this provision, the transcript issued will not include an 'NG' (No Grade) designation for students who score below the minimum marks, and the original transcript will not be withheld. Additionally, the directive also mentions the provision of not being able to study in Grade 11 for those who fail to meet the minimum marks requirement. However, the board has decided not to implement the grading system in the publication of this year's SEE results.

Instead, the traditional numerical marking system will be used. In this system, an 'E' grade will also be assigned to determine the certification for students. The Chairman of the Board has stated that since all classes have been taught according to the new curriculum in the current academic session, the new grading system will be implemented from now on. The preparations are underway to make the SEE results, which have been conducted from Chaitra 17 to 29, public by Friday. Approximately 500,000 students from across the country participated in the examination.
