Step 1: Verify Your Details

Before you begin the verification process, make sure that all the details in your police report, including your name, address, passport number, citizenship number, and more, are correct. Any inaccuracies could lead to complications, so ensure your information is up-to-date.


Step 2: Visit the Online Verification Form

Access the Consular Service Department's online Police Character Certificate verification form by visiting their website at att.nepalconsular.gov.np. Follow the instructions provided below to proceed.


Step 3: Complete the Verification Form

Fill out the verification form with the required information, then check the provided checkbox and click the "Next" button. You'll also need to enter the characters/numbers shown in the Captcha for security purposes.




Step 4: Enter Dispatch No. and Date of Birth

In the Police Character Certificate section, input your Dispatch No. (e.g., 2080-123456, is available in police clearance certificate) and your Date of Birth in AD format (e.g., 1984-10-05) into the respective text boxes. Once done, click "Submit."


Step 5: Review Your Certificate Details

After submission, you'll be able to review the details of your Police Character Certificate, including your address and citizenship information. If everything is accurate, enter your mobile number and click "Next."


Step 6: Payment Process

Clicking "Next" will display important payment information, including the Reference No., EBP No., and the payment amount [NPR, 500]. Take note of the Reference No., which is crucial for the next steps.


Payment Methods:

  • Pay Now: Use the Revenue Management Information System (RMIS) to connect to payment gateways like ConnectIPS, Khalti, or Esewa. Select your preferred gateway, deposit the revenue amount, and look for "Payment Verified, and your application is submitted successfully" to confirm your payment.


  • Bank Voucher: If you prefer offline payment, choose the "Bank Voucher" option to print a voucher. Visit a Global IME Bank branch in Nepal to make the payment. Then, return to the website, enter your Reference No. and Dispatch No., and print/download the paid voucher.


  • Payment Verify: For mobile app payments through ConnectIPS, Khalti, or Esewa, click "Payment Verify" to confirm the payment. After verification, you can print/download the paid voucher.


Step 7: Certificate Download

Upon successful submission and payment, the Consular Service Department will review your request. If everything checks out, return to the website after 24 Hour [one working day]. Enter your Reference No. and Dispatch No. to access and Download your attested Police Character Certificate with the department's certified stamp.


Step 8: Notification of Discrepancies

In case the Consular Service Department identifies any discrepancies during the review, you will receive an SMS notification indicating the rejection of your request.
