Sandeep Lamichhane moved to United Arab Emirates for World Cup League 2 cricket

Cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has flown to Dubai to play Match in ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 (2019-2023) on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. According to the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN), he will take the place of Shyam Dhakal (Mausam) in the Nepal team.

The Supreme Court ruled Monday that he could go abroad to play game. The Supreme Court ordered Sandeep to appear in court within 15 days of the end of the match to return home. He left for the United Arab Emirates at 3 p.m. Wednesday.

If the team management wants him to play the game against UAE on Thursday. Since Lamichhane is a top national and international player, the Supreme Court directed the Kathmandu District Court to adjudicate the case on fast track way judgment. 

Nepal will play the second match of the series (ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 2019-2023) against the United Arab Emirates on Thursday March 2, 2023.
