Domestic and International flights to resume starting August 17 ( Bhadra 1) in Nepal

The government of Nepal has decided to restart the International and National flights from 2077 Bhadra 1,  (17 August 2020). 

Yogesh Bhattarai Minister of  Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation Nepal said that The meeting of Parliament held on Monday decided to reopen the air transport from Bhadra 1, 2077 (17 August 2020).





The Government of Nepal ceased international air transport from Chaitra 5,2076 meanwhile ceased the internal flights from Chaitra 11,2076 due to the worldwide coronavirus(Covid-19)  pandemic.

Though the government loosed the imposed lockdown since Jestha 26, 2077, air transport wasn't. However, in the past days, the charter flights were in action to bring on Nepalese citizens back to Nepal from different foreign lands. 





At the same time, the regular flights were till ceased. The minister informed that air transport has been opened to accomplish international homework and continue the flow of bringing Nepalese back to their homes. Besides, he informed suitable protocols regarding the subject matter is being made.
