The Rastriya Swatantra Party Expels MP Dhakakumar Shrestha

The Rastriya Swatantra Party has taken action against MP Dhakakumar Shrestha, expelling him from his parliamentary position and general party membership.

After an audio recording was made public where Member of Parliament Dhakakumar Shrestha demanded a payment of 2 crore rupees from businessman Durga Prasai to secure his position as Health Minister, the party has taken disciplinary action against MP Shrestha.

Party president Rabi Lamichhane confirmed the decision to the media, stating that the party does not condone corruption in any form and will take strong action against those who engage in such activities. This move sends a clear message that The Rastriya Swatantra Party is committed to promoting transparency and accountability in government.

The incident has sparked outrage among citizens, who have voiced their support for the party's actions. It remains to be seen what impact this will have on the party's future, but many are hopeful that it will help to restore public trust in government institutions.

However, National Independent Party (Rastriya Swatantra Party) MP Dhakakumar Shrestha has denied the allegations of demanding two crore rupees. The party's central office held a press conference in Basundhara, where Shrestha accused the media of defaming him and his party by spreading rumors.

Shrestha welcomed the party's decision to suspend him while the allegations were being investigated and stated that he would return to politics with a clean slate after receiving a "clean chit" from the court.
