Application for labor approval can now be submitted at the local level. According to the decision of the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security (Nepal), this service has been made available from 16 April 2023 [3 Baishak 2080] through employment service centers of Local government.
As per spokesperson Danduraj Ghimire of the Ministry, a total of 753 local levels of Nepal will now accept labor approval requests from the employment service center. "Laborers who are still stranded can also come to Kathmandu to submit their applications for labor approval. However, not everyone can access the online system. If someone cannot read or write, they cannot reach it. We have implemented this system keeping in mind these issues," he said.
Now, service seekers can also submit their requests by going to their local employment service centers for foreign employment. Each center will have staff to assist in filling out online forms and providing information on the subject. He expressed confidence that this would help those who do not have access to the internet or do not know how to fill out online forms.
