Mount Everest new height
Nepal and China announce 8,848.86 meters (29,032 ft) to be the new height of the world's highest mountain Mt. Everest (Sagarmatha). Before the new official announcement, the height of Everest was 8,848m.
The new height is 86cm more than the height followed by Nepal. However, China stated 8,844m to be the height of Mt Everest then. Nepal and China officially informed the new height of Mt. Everest in a mutually organized program on Tuesday, 8 December 2020.
The parliament of Nepal passed the bill on Mangsir 10 regarding the new height of Sagarmatha after a survey from both of the countries, China and Nepal had a common conclusion on it. Nepal records its first time to measure the height of Mt.Everest.
